PROGRA2

PROGRA2 ( PRopriétés Optiques des GRains Astronomiques et Atmosphériques) instrument is a gonio-photopolarimeter providing the phase function of the polarization and of the radiance of a scattering medium. The measurements are performed in microgravity on board dedicated aircrafts and at ground in our laboratory. The instrument is working since 1994 and flew on board the Caravelle Zero-G (CNES), the KC-13 (NASA) and the A300 Zero-G (CNES-ESA-NOVESPACE). It performs 2 to 4 campaigns of flights per year. PROGRA2 is developed through collaboration between the LPC2E and the LATMOS. The project is mainly funded by CNES, with a contribution of the LPC2E and through a collaboration with the Environnement-SA Company. The flights are funded by CNES and ESA.
